What I recommend to the people 

Place

One of the places in Santiago that I recommend visiting is Bicentenario park, located in the Vitacura district to the side of the river Mapocho near to the Tobalaba metro. In this park, you can find an artificial lake called Laguna norte with Koi fish, flamingo and ducks. You can buy pellets to feed them. You also have some restaurants and a green area where you can play sports or relax in the sun. 

This park is open twenty four hours, has free access and has public restrooms and several parking lots. It is a perfect place to enjoy with the family.

Transport 

In my personal opinion, I recommend travelling by metro throw Santiago in its different lines as works very well and fast and helps u to avoid the car traffic on the streets also it is very cheap. Some contras of the metro are that sometimes it can be insecure and, in peak hour it is kinda difficult to get in the train. But even with that, it is worth it.
